It has been a long while since I last blogged here. I've learned alot over the past 14 months, some very painful past memories and some fresh new ones. There have been great joys and a few minor tragedies. Life's cycle, after all.
Something I have done this year that has not happened in the past is that I have come back into contact with old school friends from high school and college. Seeing these people again online, hearing about their jobs, their lives, their children and sharing what we remember about each other has been enchanting.
I got the opportunity to sit and chat with someone I had not seen in 20 years. He had been very special to me and we had dated seriously for several years - back in the day. It was a bittersweet afternoon, but I got to be a young girl again. The gray hairs and extra pounds seemed to fall away as we laughed about our escapades and shared what we've come to learn in our years apart. No "what ifs" or "what could have beens" just quite a few "remember whens".
All in all, it's been a rough year but one I've been blessed to survive. I have met a few new people in the past year and they will make this year new and exciting, I am sure. My resolutions are to lose some weight, gain some muscle tone and take more of the opportunities that I am afforded. Pax...

Mmmmmmm........
I enjoy visiting my dreams, my daydreams and my wildest wishes occasionally. The other night I was able to step outside of my norm (Mom, wife, 40-something...) and enjoy an hour or so recapturing my youth. I rock danced with a soon-to-be, 20-something rockstar - he was beautiful and sweet and HOT!! (Just a dance my friends.) GnR was playing and we both knew the words. He went back to work and I settled back into my real self.
Thank you, FM (you'll never even read this) - our dance is filed away in my daydream memory banks. Sweeeetttttt.....
See ya!

Advice...
Fionn MacCumhall:
"If you have a mind to be a champion, be quiet in a great man's house; be surely in the narrow pass. Do not beat your hound without cause; do not bring a charge against your wife without having knowledge of her guilt; do not hurt a fool in fighting, for he is without his wits. Do not find fault with high-up persons; do not stand up to take part in a quarrel; have no dealings with a bad man or a foolish man. Let two-thirds of your gentleness be shown to women, and to little children that are creeping on the floor, and to men of learning that make the poems, and do not be rough with the common people. Do not give your reverence to all; do not be ready to have one bed with your companions. Do not threaten or speak big words, for it is a shameful thing to speak stiffly unless you can carry it out afterwards. Do not forsake your lord so long as you live; do not give up any man that puts himself under your protection for all the treasures of the world. Do not speak against others to their lord, that is not work for a good man. Do not be a bearer of lying stories, or a tale-bearer that is always chattering. Do not be talking too much; do not find fault hastily; however brave you may be do not rise factions against you. Do not be going into drinking-houses, or finding fault with old men; do not meddle with low people; this is right conduct I am telling you. Do not refuse to share your meat; do not have a niggard [i.e. a fool] for a friend; do not force yourself on a great man or give him occasion to speak against you. Hold fast to your arms till the last fight is well ended. Do not give up your opportunety, but with that follow after gentleness."

Inner Thoughts and Contemplations
Song of Amergin(as Amergin set foot in Ireland for the first time)
I am the wind on the sea
I am the wave of the sea
I am the bull of seven battles
I am the eagle on the rock
I am a flash from the sun
I am the most beautiful of plants
I am a strong wild boar
I am a salmon in the water
I am a lake in the plain
I am the word of knowledge
I am the head of the spear in battle
I am the God that puts fire in the head
Who spreads light in the gathering on the hills?
Who can tell the ages of the moon?
Who can tell the place where the sun rests?
I am the wind on the sea
I am the wave of the sea
I am the bull of seven battles
I am the eagle on the rock
I am a flash from the sun
I am the most beautiful of plants
I am a strong wild boar
I am a salmon in the water
I am a lake in the plain
I am the word of knowledge
I am the head of the spear in battle
I am the God that puts fire in the head
Who spreads light in the gathering on the hills?
Who can tell the ages of the moon?
Who can tell the place where the sun rests?

To the Men....
To all the men in my life - husband, son, friend....
Each and every one of you saves me.... every day. Thank you.
Each and every one of you saves me.... every day. Thank you.

Hunger
I awoke so hungry,
an aching melting my bones.
A hunger for your gaze upon me,
To feel your breath’s caress and
The slide of your skin along mine.
I pulse with the Hunger’s heat.
My body dampens at the mere whisper of your voice,
My tongue tingles in grand anticipation of traveling a
Demon’s path along your body;
I hunger for your strength, your flavor, your scent.
Do you hunger for me?
